Kennel Cough Warning
Posted December 2010
Dogs can catch an Infectious Bronchitis or Kennel Cough from each other. It is carried in the form of droplets in the air. Your dog will develop a harsh hacking cough. It is more common in dogs who socialise and come into contact with other dogs such as at shows, kennels, classes or even just at the park.
We are seeing more kennel cough and advise vaccination against it. Vaccination lasts one year and is given as a nose drop.
If you suspect that your dog is infected with Kennel Cough, please let us know when booking an appointment for treatment. We will then see your pet in a separate consulting room due to the disease being so contagious.
