Science Plan
Science Plan are the Hills diets for every lifestage in cats and dogs. There are puppy/kitten, adult and senior diets, and also light versions for the weight prone pet, and many in different flavours. Most come in full size ranges from 2kg to 14kg, and also in canned food versions, so that you can pick the best value for the size and number of pets you have. Most are always in stock to pick up from the reception area, or they can be ordered in advance. Science Plan is a premium ingredient complete diet with no artificial colourants of flavourings. New-we have 'neutered cat diet, suited to the lifestyle and needs of the neutered cat. Also new is the range of Hills Science Plan wet pouch foods for cats in several flaovours.
Natures Best
Natures Best is a newer alternative to Science Plan, with extra flavours from a varied kibble, and increased vegetable content. It has no added artificial flavours or colourants, and wholesome natural ingredients. Also available from reception, and available for kittens, puppies, adult dogs and cats, and large breed puppies and large breed adult dogs.
Hills Prescription Diets
There is a surge of interest in dietary management of illnesses in people-but we have been doing this for our pets for two decades now! Special diets can go a long way to controlling allergies, arthritis, chronic diarrhoea, urinary problems, diabetes, obesity and kidney disease, to name but a few areas! We believe in treating the whole pet, and that dietary adjustment can be of huge benefit, even removing the need for medication in some pets. Most of the special prescription diets for dogs and cats come in canned (wet), or complete (dry) formulations. We stock a large range for our clients use. The latest addition is Hills J/d for dogs which has extra help for the arthritic dog. There is a lower calorie version for overweight arthritic dogs, and also a feline version arrived this month (October 2007). There is a diet for elderly dogs to help their brain function and awareness.
