Hospitalised animals
Sometimes pets need overnight or 24 hour care. Outside of our normal hours there is always a nurse on the premises providing care, and always a duty veterinary surgeon who does ‘ward rounds’ and is available for whatever treatment is needed. Owners of hospitalised pets are given a daytime ward phone number to get through to the duty nurse.
Urgent/Emergencies outside of normal hours
There is normally a vet available between 8.30am to 7pm weekdays and 9am to 5pm weekdays, ie over 60 hours a week. If however you need urgent care, advice or emergency treatment outside of these hours, we employ a specialised Emergency Out of Hours service to provide this for you at any ‘out of hours’ time. This service is called VetsNow, is part of a nationwide service, and is available on the Long Eaton sides of both Nottingham and Derby. If you would like more information about the emergency provision by VetsNow, go to www.vets-now.com/pets
