Don't miss the Spondon Village Fete on Sept 11th
The Spondon Village Festival promises to be THE don’t-miss event of the year in Spondon.
Taking place on Saturday 11th September 2010 at Asterdale Sports Ground; the day promises to be a celebration of all that Spondon has to offer with fun activities, entertainment and competitions for all the family. The event is being organised by a team of local Spondon residents with support from local groups, clubs and businesses.
Things are still being organised for the big day but the timetable for the Festival is already looking jam-packed with brilliant entertainment and variety including displays from the Ambassadors Carnival Band, JTS Falconry and Dance Unlimited plus a whole host of stalls and competitions including fancy dress and an inter-pub tug-of-war competition. There will also be plenty of thrills with the dodgems, waltzer and inflatables area, including Europe's tallest inflatable slide!
Ashfield House will be there with a pet store and a fun companion dog show. Also joining us will be Novartis worm patrol with their pooch mobile - it is a furry Renault Kangoo with ears, nose and a tongue!
Our dog show will be held in the Festival arena throughout the afternoon

- Best Eyes
- Most Appealing
- Best Rescue
Dogs can be registered for entry on the day of event in the marquee by the arena from noon until 1pm.
