Ashfield House is an 13 vet small animal pet practice and has been established for over 4 decades. We cover the Derby/Nottingham area of which Long Eaton is right in the centre.

We are well equipped for primary pet health needs such as vaccinations and neutering, but we are also very well equipped for more complicated surgical and medical problems should they arise. Ashfield House’s emphasis is prevention is better than cure.

Our vets are selected on their experience and knowledge as well as their compassion. We have a Surgery at Bramcote Nottingham; on Nuthall Road, Aspley – Byron Clinic, and also a branch surgery in Spondon Derby.

How do you know whether to entrust your pet with one practice compared to another? We would suggest that personal recommendation is important, but also that a practice meets certain standards. We meet the following criteria:

• Hospital status. We are an inspected veterinary hospital which guarantees a high standard See British Veterinary Hospital Association
• Tier 3 RCVS standard. Our governing body, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, classifies practices from tier one to tier three. We are tier 3, the highest standard. Some practices opt not to join this voluntary standards scheme at all  Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
• BSAVA approved standard. This is the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, to which we belong, and attain their approved standard  British Small Animal Veterinary Association.
